Future-ready meeting experiences at Aon Belgium

Since the pandemic, remote working has become a permanent part of the way Aon Belgium operates. A detailed analysis showed that office occupancy was below 50%, leading Aon to give up one floor.

This change created an opportunity to invest further in a modern and comfortable workplace. The new environment needed to support employees with hybrid collaboration while also providing a welcoming space for clients.

The different meeting rooms also needed to be easy to use and suitable for a wide range of meetings, from four-person discussions to large presentations and hybrid meetings.

AVEX implemented modern audiovisual technology across a variety of spaces. The project included a high-tech boardroom, several meeting rooms for four, six and eight people, and a unique multifunctional space.

All rooms were designed with ease of use in mind, supporting seamless collaboration between colleagues in the office and remote participants. In the boardroom, a Sennheiser ceiling microphone provides greater freedom of movement and excellent speech intelligibility.

The rooms are equipped with Cisco Room Navigators connected to the video systems. These automatically detect whether a room is occupied. The Cisco video conferencing systems also register how many people are using each room, helping Aon make the best use of the available capacity.

Due to the high levels of natural light, AVEX selected Samsung displays with anti-reflective screens. This ensures content remains clearly visible while minimising unwanted reflections.
