AVEX climate targets validated by SBTi

Our Climate Targets

The validation by the SBTi helps guide our approach for the years ahead. By working with a base year, clear reduction targets and defined target years, we can measure and track our progress in a transparent way.

Our validated targets are:

• A 63% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2035, compared with our 2024 base year.
• Measuring and reducing Scope 3 emissions as part of our climate strategy.
• A 95% reduction in Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions by 2050, compared with our 2024 base year.
• In the long term, we’re working towards achieving net zero by 2050.

During the validation process, we were successfully supported by Stichting Stimular, a Dutch organisation dedicated to helping businesses operate more sustainably.

Climate Ambitions Backed by Independent Validation

Climate ambitions only become truly meaningful when they’re translated into clear and measurable targets. With validation from the SBTi, our climate goals have been assessed against internationally recognised criteria.

For AVEX, this means we can measure our progress against clearly defined emissions reduction targets in the years ahead. Not only to show what we aim to achieve, but more importantly, to track and demonstrate the progress we’re actually making.

ESG Report 2025

For AVEX, sustainable business means making conscious choices that create long-term value for our employees, customers, partners and society.

In our ESG Report 2025, we outline the targets we’ve set, the actions we’re taking, and the results we’re achieving. We report on topics including climate and energy, circularity, people and society, supply chain and customer impact, and good governance.

Our ESG reporting aligns with internationally recognised standards and frameworks, including GRI and ESRS.

About SBTi

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) develops standards, tools and guidance to help companies set climate targets that are aligned with climate science. SBTi independently assesses and validates these targets against established criteria.
