The annual NOC*NSF Sports Gala brings together the very best of Dutch sport to celebrate athletes and their achievements. For this special evening, Papendal’s conference hall needed to be transformed into an atmospheric gala venue.
AVEX provided the complete audiovisual production and worked with NOC*NSF and its regular stylists to create an integrated experience where technology, lighting and design came together seamlessly.
The challenge
Transforming a conference hall into an atmospheric sports gala
The Athenezaal at Papendal is designed as a conference venue, not a gala space.
The challenge was to completely transform the room into a stylish setting worthy of a prestigious awards show. Not only did the setting need to look the part, but the technology also had to perform flawlessly for both the guests in the room and the live broadcast.
The solution
One complete experience where technology and atmosphere come together
Working with NOC*NSF and its regular stylists, the conference hall was completely transformed into a gala environment.
AVEX provided the audiovisual technology, lighting and technical production throughout the space. Large LED screens formed the backdrop to the stage, while atmospheric lighting, digital signage and a stylish entrance created a warm welcome for guests.
The corridors, press wall and restaurant were also equipped with lighting and displays, ensuring visitors experienced the same high-quality look and feel throughout the venue.
AVEX also provided technical support for the live broadcast, enabling audiences outside Papendal to follow the event seamlessly.
