With the opening of Van der Valk Eindhoven-Best, a modern hotel and event venue was created with hospitality and flexibility at its core. AVEX was involved in the audiovisual design from the early planning stages.

The challenge
An audiovisual environment designed for the future
With 24 multifunctional rooms, the new Van der Valk Eindhoven-Best hotel needed audiovisual facilities capable of supporting a wide variety of uses.
The solution needed to provide flexibility for meetings, events and day-to-day communications, while also allowing for future developments. At the same time, the technology had to operate reliably without becoming a visible distraction within the hotel environment.

The solution
A flexible audiovisual infrastructure for every space
AVEX designed, installed and commissioned the complete audiovisual environment.
Throughout the hotel, audiovisual solutions were implemented for meeting rooms, events, digital signage, wayfinding and audio in public areas. The lobby, restaurants, communal areas and event spaces were also equipped with sound, background music, public address and voice alarm systems.
At the heart of the installation is an AV-over-IP infrastructure. Audiovisual equipment can be flexibly connected through a single network, allowing network connections to serve as audiovisual connection points. This provides significantly greater flexibility when configuring and adapting spaces.
