An unforgettable start for TeamNL on the road to Paris

Before TeamNL set off for the Olympic Games in Paris, over 200 athletes gathered at Papendal for the official TeamNL kick-off. It was a special moment when the athletes, coaches, family members and partners came together to reflect on the achievements already made and the journey that lay ahead.

At an event like this, everything has to be just right. The message must resonate, the energy must be palpable, and every athlete must feel part of something bigger. That is why Papendal relied on AVEX for the audiovisual production.

A stage for ambition and elite sport

During the official team presentation, the Olympic athletes were ceremonially handed over to chefs de mission Pieter van den Hoogenband and Esther Vergeer. Hosted by presenter Humberto Tan, the Athenezaal was entirely dedicated to TeamNL.

To ensure the ceremony had maximum impact, AVEX delivered a complete audiovisual event production, including:

• An impressive 7 x 4-metre LED wall
• LED banners on either side of the stage
• Special content creation for the screens
• Professional audio support
• Show and mood lighting
• Stage design
• Multi-camera production
• Live stream facilities

This created a dynamic environment in which visuals, sound and storytelling came together to give the athletes a fitting send-off
