In this episode, we lay the foundations for a new perspective on audiovisual systems: sustainable and circular. Marjolein Koens-Schaddelee explains why AV is an overlooked source of emissions within many organisations and why equipment is often replaced too quickly – at the expense of both the environment and your own sustainability targets.

BRIX zero has been developed to break that pattern. By offering AV as a service and retaining ownership of the equipment, AVEX can, amongst other things, actively work to extend its lifespan. Equipment is maintained, monitored and, where necessary, refurbished, so that it is given a second or even third lease of life – with customers where it is functionally suitable.

But that’s not all! This approach reduces CO₂ emissions, limits the use of raw materials and makes circularity demonstrable. Thanks to transparent data and collaboration throughout the supply chain, sustainable AV becomes not just a promise, but a measurable and verifiable system.
